The students have been successfully trained to hate Israel and to embrace the terrorists. 

The question becomes, what is the next phase? If it is generally accepted among the various colleges that Israel is evil and Hamas/ISIS is good, what is the inevitable conclusion of such thought?

Students At UC Berkeley Support Man Waving ISIS Flag

Students at the UC Berkeley campus set the bar for outrageous behavior pretty high earlier this week when they rioted in protest of a speech by Milo Yiannopoulos. They destroyed property on the campus, beat a man unconscious, and even pepper sprayed an innocent girl for no reason other than she was wearing a Trump hat.

UC Berkeley has a history of supporting violence.

In 2014 filmmaker Ami Horowitz decided to conduct a social experiment on the UC Berkeley campus by waving an ISIS flag and an Israeli flag.

While waving the ISIS flag Ami yells out anti-American and pro-ISIS rhetoric as students walk by and are friendly to him. 

After some time has passed Ami pulls out an Israeli flag and waves it as he makes pro-Israel remarks and he is immediately attacked by the students on the UC Berkeley campus.

Fake news infected the body politic this week as liberals lost their minds over President Trump’s falsely-labeled “Muslim ban,” which bars refugees from seven high-risk Muslim majority countries (previously identified by President Obama’s own Department of Homeland Security) for a period of 90 days. The so-called temporary “ban,” issued via presidential executive order, was designed to assess the national security treat posed by ISIS militants infiltrating refugee populations. To be clear, Trump’s executive order doesn’t even scratch the surface of banning all Muslims. That’s a fiction peddled by social justice warriors intent on exploiting the public’s fears about fascism to galvanize support for their pet causes and “non-profits.”

Eager to make strange bedfellows with naïve and uber-tolerant progressives, Muslim community leaders and Islamic “advocacy” organizations, including Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated CAIR, have all but turned victimhood into an art form.

But all the sorrowful sentries of identity politics fail to mention the fact that the Muslims actually dominate huge swaths of land across the globe. Far from being victims, Islamic states, still feeding off the spoils of colonial conquests during the golden age of the caliphate, are notoriously hostile to religious minorities, particularly Jews.

Persecuted, raped, and killed, Jews have been purged from Islamic lands for centuries, thanks to the imperial aspirations of imams, mullahs, warlords, and sultans.

To this day, Israeli Jews are forbidden from entering 16 Muslim countries. Six of the seven states on Trump’s “ban” currently bar Israeli Jews. We’re still waiting on protests condemning the institutionalized and permanent Jewish ban across the Islamic world.

The hypocrisy of anti-Trump protesters was recently highlighted by Tory members of UK parliament who finally put the spotlight on the rampant anti-Semitism of the Muslim world.

“In the light of the fact that most of the countries covered by the Trump ban have a total exclusion on the admission of Israeli citizens, shouldn’t the protestors also be calling for that ban to be lifted?” asked former Northern Ireland Secretary Theresa Villier at a Q&A session with Prime Minister Theresa May Wednesday.

The Spontaneous Demonstrations at Our Airports Were Carefully Planned

Those “Spontaneous Anti-Trump Airport protests weren’t Spontaneous at all,” reports Investors Business Daily. They were carefully planned by hard-core left-wing activist groups. Professional organizers have been waiting for, and planning for Trump’s orders on deportations, bans and detentions. Trump made it clear early that he planned ‘on day one’ to issue a temporary ban on visas and refugees from countries where terrorism was rampant. All these groups had to do was be ready when he made good on his campaign promise.

The news media was astonished, and rushed to report every last sign, shout, shouter, bullhorn and count the crowds. Yet the groups planning the “spontaneous” protests had been eager to share , and claimed to be in “constant contact with lawyers’ associations, lawmakers and reporters.” So how much was fact and how much was made up or wildly exaggerated? How many times did you hear that it was a “Muslim Ban?” It was not. There was no Muslim Ban.

The protests are absurd. Trump’s orders are clearly within his executive powers. The Washington State judge who granted a federal stay suggesting that the executive orders were unconstitutional was out of line, and his suggestions that the orders were harming the people of Washington, silly.

The executive order instituted a 90 day suspension (not ban) of immigrants from countries listed by the Obama administration as having a significant presence of foreign terrorist organizations. It also suspended the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days to give Homeland Security and the DNI time to determine how to make sure that terrorists weren’t slipping in as refugees—something ISIS has said they are doing. It also sets a slightly lower cap on refugees this year  than has been the norm for the past decade.

The countries concerned were listed by the Obama administration, not by Trump. President Obama barred large groups of immigrants at least six times out of national security concerns. But then his most recent executive order was to ban any refugees from Cuba—sending them back to the Castros’ communist Cuba.

Catholic Archbishop Bashar Warda of Irbil in Iraq plaintively asked:

“Where were all those protesters when ISIS came to kill Christians and Yazidis and other minority groups? They were not protesting when the tens of thousands of displaced Christians my archdiocese has cared for since 2014 received no financial assistance from the U.S. government or the U.N. There were no protests when Syrian Christians were only let in at a rate that was 20 times less than the percentage of their population in Syria.

I do not understand why some Americans are now upset that the many minority communities that faced a horrible genocide will finally get a degree of priority in some manner.

Some ‘anti-fascists’ need to look in the mirror

I have noted before in this place that the people who seem most fascist these days are self-described ‘anti-fascists’. The inaugural weeks of Donald Trump’s Presidency are – whatever else you think of them – doing a fine job in smoking these people out.

The principal cause of ‘anti-fascist’ ire today would appear to come from the collective decision that anybody whose opinions do not wholly concur with a narrow set of agreed upon ‘liberal’ views is a ‘fascist’. This is not a wholly new development – Allan Bloom noticed this more than thirty years ago. But it seems that the people then who described everyone who disagreed with them as ‘Nazis’ did not grow up as had been hoped but just moved into positions in the media, politics and academia where they deepened and extended the reach of their worldview. Thus today American campuses finds themselves in a situation in which Milo Yiannopoulos is meant to be a fascist, Christina Hoff Sommers is meant to be a fascist and Gavin McInnes is meant to be a fascist.

On Thursday the conservative commentator Gavin McInnes was due to speak at New York University. Some ‘anti-fascists’ decided to storm the event and pepper-spray the speaker while chants in the hall included ‘Nazi scum, your time has come’. Eleven people were arrested. But behaviour outside the event was even more telling.

A video shows a woman who claims to be a professor screaming at the police outside the event. It is her contention – screamed over and over again at the police protecting the event – that the police are ‘f—ing assholes’. The ‘professor’ seemed to dislike the fact that the police were in her words ‘protecting the Nazis’. She informed the police of what she thought they ought to do to the ‘Nazis’: ‘You should kick their ass! You should!’ She then turned to the subject of the delicate students around her whose feelings she professed to be protecting:

I wonder whether any self-described ‘liberals’ will mull on this and whether they didn’t contribute to bringing things to this pitch? Here is a woman who presumably believes herself to be an anti-fascist berating the American police for not acting as the storm-troopers of the ‘liberal’ worldview. Of course having been ‘educated’ to be as sensitive and useless as possible NYU students couldn’t themselves be expected to beat up people with contrary opinions. But that is apparently what the police are for: the state apparatus able to be ordered in to beat up anyone who does not hold all the correct views, on behalf of all the people who do.

All of which leads me to wonder once again whether anything will ever make these ‘anti-fascists’ look in the mirror and recognise what they have become.

Mob Violence and Its Defenders

The University of California at Berkeley, once popularly associated with the old Free Speech Movement, now is better known for black-clad goons beating people on the streets with clubs and fists, hurling rocks and bricks and Molotov cocktails at police, and pepper-spraying a young woman wearing a “Make America Great Again” parody hat in the face.

Oh, and also setting fires and smashing windows at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union, attacking businesses near the campus, and causing an estimated $100,000 of property damage.

Why? Well, as one protest — er, riot leader shouted, to “shut this f*cker down!”

That is, sans the profanity, to force the cancellation of a sold-out speech by Milo Yiannopoulos, the Greek-born British author, now a senior editor at Breitbart News.

“The Free Speech Movement is dead,” read a statement by the Berkeley College Republicans following the mêlée, which “successfully” prevented 500 people who purchased tickets from attending the group’s event.
