Media Silence?

We've discussed the issue of lies and distortions during this biblical age, and along those lines we also see complete burial of some of the most interesting news of this age - news that have profound implications for our lives. Below is an interesting list of some of the news stories which are effectively being buried by the MSM:

Critical thinking is a skill that is in short supply in America today, and most Americans seem content to let their televisions do their thinking for them. Sadly, the pretty people on television do not spend a lot of time talking about the things that are truly important.

Instead, they love to talk about the latest celebrity scandal and they love to divide people into groups and get them fighting with one another. In this day and age, it is absolutely critical that we all learn to think for ourselves.

For those wanting something different, you will have to seek out alternative sources of news (such as this website) that are willing to discuss the truly earth shattering events that are continually taking place all over the globe.
That's the intro.

Below is the list and the content of each item is found in the link above.

The conclusions:

The world that we live in is becoming increasingly unstable.

The political order is being shaken, the financial world is being shaken, the social fabric of our society is being shaken and even the ground under our feet is being shaken.

Previous generations never had to deal with a world that was changing at blinding speed. The rate at which things are moving is almost unimaginable, and it just seems to keep accelerating with each passing year.

Of course, this development was painfully obvious, despite what we were told by the MSM:

Just as Washington took the unusual step recently of inviting members of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood for White House talks to try regain influence in Cairo, Egyptians followed recent gains by the Muslim Brotherhood in parliament to pursue Tehran as strategic partner instead of Washington

For years, however, Shi’ite Iran has been a major financial supporter of the Sunni Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood and quietly worked for some two years with the group to oust Washington-backed Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak last year.

Now, a new U.S.-based Gallup poll taken since the Brotherhood and the more fundamentalist Salifist al-Nour party combined to establish an Islamist Muslim majority in parliamentary elections earlier this year reveals that some 56 percent of Egyptians see relations with the United States as bad for the country.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran has enough funds to withstand a total embargo on its oil sales for several years, Iranian media reported on Tuesday.

Syrian forces opened fire across two tense borders Monday, killing a TV journalist in Lebanon and at least two people in a refugee camp in Turkey on the eve of a deadline for a cease-fire plan that seems all but certain to fail.

Across Syria, activists reported particularly heavy violence with more than
125 people killed in the past two days.

The latest bloodshed was a sign of how easily Syria's neighbors could be drawn into a regional conflagration as President Bashar Assad's crackdown on a year-old uprising becomes increasingly militarized, despite desperate diplomatic efforts.

On Monday, Syrian forces fired across the border into a refugee camp in Turkey, wounding at least six people, Turkish authorities said. But four witnesses in the camp told The Associated Press that two people in the camp also had been shot and killed.

The Syrian opposition and Western leaders had been skeptical all along that Assad would live up to his commitment to a truce. He has broken similar promises in the past and escalated attacks on opposition strongholds in the days leading up to the deadline.

The US navy announced the arrival of the USS Abraham Lincoln in the north Arabian Sea and the USS Enterprise, the world's longest naval vessel, in the Gulf of Aden.

A senior official in President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government threatened in January unspecified action if American aircraft carriers returned to the Persian Gulf, saying: "We are not in the habit of warning more than once".

Although neither ship has entered the Gulf itself, the deployment will be seen as an unmistakable challenge in Tehran ahead of the beginning of negotiations on Saturday, which President Barack Obama has described as Iran's "last chance" to resolve the nuclear impasse through diplomacy.

When a retired fisherman called to report that about 1,500 dolphins had washed up dead on Peru’s northern coast, veterinarian Carlos Yaipén’s first reaction was, “That’s impossible.”

But when Yaipén traveled up the coast last week, he counted 615 dead dolphins along a 135-kilometer stretch of coastline.

Now, the death toll could be as high as 2,800, based on volunteers’ counts. Peru's massive dolphin die-off is among the largest ever reported worldwide.

Since it's ongoing, it may wind up being the largest dolphin die-off ever reported.

His diminishment of two of the three co-equal branches of government has caught the attention many citizens, and now a legal expert has weighed in with a stark warning about the future of the nation.

“I think the president is dangerously close to totalitarianism,” Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News analyst, said. “A few months ago he was saying the Congress doesn’t count. The Congress doesn’t mean anything. I am going to rule by decree and by administrative regulation. Now he’s basically saying the Supreme Court doesn’t count. It doesn’t matter what they think. They can’t review our legislation.

Just days after the U.S. Supreme Court gave the OK for jailers to strip search anyone who’s arrested — regardless of how minor their offense — the sheriff in Tipton County decided that every incoming detainee will be strip searched.

The justices voted 5-4 that police had the authority to strip search a man mistakenly arrested for an unpaid fine.

But many defense attorneys were appalled at what they saw as a dangerous and demeaning erosion of civil rights.

“I think it’s outrageous, I think it’s an affront to human dignity. I can’t believe that people in Tipton County want to be strip searched,” said Patrick Frogge, a criminal defense and civil rights attorney in Nashville. “A housewife gets pulled over because she has not paid a traffic ticket — or because a computer mistakenly says she didn’t pay it — and she’s going to be strip searched like a terrorist.”

In the dissent, Justice Stephen G. Breyer called strip searches a “serious affront to human dignity and to individual privacy.”

“Such a search of an individual arrested for a minor offense that does not involved drugs or violence ... — say a traffic offense, a regulatory offense, an essentially civil matter, or any other such misdemeanor — is an ‘unreasonable search’ forbidden by the Fourth Amendment, unless prison authorities have reasonable suspicion to believe that the individual possesses drugs or other contraband,” he wrote.

Crazy stuff going on. No doubt we are so close to seeing our Lord. Just a few years ago the world was bad, but now it is mind blowing bad and strange. Can only imagine with the help of the Word what the world will be like in a matter of years. I am so glad no one can snatch me and my Christian friends out of the Lords hand.

"As in the days of Noah", is appling to me this week. People were eating, drinking and given in marriage" Heading to Iowa for my son's wedding to a beautiful christian girl. :)

I think some of the terrible things we are seeing are brewing out of the view of the general public allowing them to go on with their lives pretty much as normal.

And then comes the big tipping point....IMO anyway....the rapture of the church. Jesus comes as a thief in the night. The stage seems to be set or nearly set. I'm ready for take-off. :)

Maranatha!

WV-congrats on the wedding! Im so very happy for you! Its wonderful for your son and your family that he is with a nice girl who is a believer.
I keep praying for my 2 adult daughters. They were raised Christian and used to believe as children. They each had, like me, some horrendous experiences in the "church" with self professed christians and christian leadership that soured them on God. Seeing the signs so clearly a few years agi is what brought me back to fellowship with Jesus. Im trusting God to bring them back into the fold also.
The one thing about Noahs day that is different than today (well maybe not all the way, think cloning and gene splicing here at least) is the earth was filled with fallen angels who had reprodouced with mankind creating giants and all sorts of nasty offspring genetically. I tend to take the bible very litterally and still see sime fullfillment of that neccessary for us to be as in the days of Noah. Things like monsanto's gmo's might qualify us. Not sure how deep that stuff will get before we are out of here. Ideas or opinions any of you guys have on this?
Well WV, maybe your son's Wedding feast will be at the Wedding Feast! That would definately be awesome wouldnt it?
Maranatha people!

18 mo's ago I commented at church that we were living in the last days. The pastor took an entire sermon to rebuke me. I quit going to that church when they would not let me explain how I came to that conclusion. I wonder how that pastor see's things now. My adult daughter was recently baptized (different church). I pray my wife will come back into the fold before our Lord's return.

Thanks Ally, you may be right about nephilla (sp) but so much is set especially the global economic catastrophe that looms and the Biblical ME war (Isaiah 17/Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39. All the players are in place and all active in the news it seems daily. Scott keeps us well informed. My thinking is if we can see tribulation events on the horizon we are very close to the rapture.

So sorry to hear about your bad experiences Ally and Douglas in the church. It would be extra painful if the hurt came via the Pastor. I think there are many godly men trying to honor the Lord and unfortunately there are many who should seek work in another field. Satan I believe knows his time is short and he is working overtime to sew disunity. I think it is just another sign of the encroaching apostasy and evil in our day.

I am blessed where I live. I love my church and my Pastor.

Thank-you WV for your comments. Yes Satan has been hard at work to suppress the truth in this age. We have to be extra alert to avoid the pitfalls and traps he lays for true believers. God be with us all, and help us to walk the straight and narrow road in humility and in the Spirit.

Thats so tragic and I hate to hear it.....I would direct this man to read Luke 12, with a focus on verses:
35-40 and 54-56.

Here, Jesus stated that you should be watching for His return with the anticipation of someone sitting by a lit candle watching for the door so than when He (Jesus) knocks, you can immediately open the door...and it will be GOOD for those servants whose master finds him watching and it will be GOOD for those servants whose master finds him ready..

Then, in verse 54 Jesus rebuked those people who did not understand the signs of His first coming by calling them hypocrites.

If that isn't enough, he also rebuked the two men walking to Emmaus - after the resurrection - for not having understood the prophecies about His coming. He did the same a few moments when He appeared to the apostles.

He needs to show me his explanation of these simple scriptures just as a STARTING POINT for any further discussions. I wonder how he would "explain" what Jesus meant here, because its crystal clear that Jesus' expectation that we are watching and ready and its unacceptable to Jesus that we wouldn't understand (or care) about the prophetic scriptures regarding His coming.

Scott said...

And of course, he could also read the numerous scriptures in Matthew 24 and especially Mark 13 and the sheer number of times Jesus said to be watching and to be ready for His return. I believe in the three gospels which include the Oliver Discourse, there are at least 9 occasions in which Jesus urges His followers to be watchful and ready. He needs to open his bible with an open mind and educate himself on the scriptures :)

Ally, WV, another difference from the Days of Noah is that those left behind after the Rapture will get a chance to repent and turn to God. In Noah's day, they all perished in the flood.

Well, here we are again....
stocks were down, BUT Gold and
Silver up ?? THAT IS NOT good for
bears since it MAY mean that
stocks will NOW rally back up
to above 13,000 again.

We will see.

Also, I was VERY frustrated to
see the EURO hardly drop ??
I mean the dow was down 214 and
the Euro hardly drops ??

That is a PLUS for the bull....

so, in sum, I cannot say that with
great certainty that stocks are
DONE on the upside. That does NOT
mean I would be long this market,
NO WAY !!!!

I would need to SEE alot more
selling in the metals AND the Euro
to convince me that the END is
really close.

True, stocks are breaking down
in what appears to be a (1) down
of 3 Circle. IF SO, then a (2) up
would be next.

BUT ONE could make the case that the rapture WILL NOT occur just
yet since the (3) down is the wave
where the PANIC type selling usually sets in. It is possible
in (1) down for that to happen,
but quite rare.

Stay tuned.

Very well said Brother Scott! :)
Its amazing, that the final book and the last page, in the whole Bible, Gods Word makes it clear. His Word says that those that hold the Words of His Prophecy are Blessed.

Revelation 22:7
7.Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

His Word also tells us that this Prophecy is not “sealed” from us, unlike Daniels that was sealed.

Revelation 22:10
10.And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

He wants the Churches to know, its important to Him :)

Revelation 22:16
16.I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

And finally, Jesus admonishes the “dead” Church of Sardis for NOT WATCHING! He tells them they He will “come upon them as a thief” if they are not watching. Watchers will not be surprised as the sudden coming of a “thief”.

Revelation 3:3
3.Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

We Serve and AWESOME GOD! God Bless!

In thinking of the tower of Babel and how it symbolizes to me the current 'Clayton's'world unity. To get to where they did they had to have high imaginings I reckon and then God confounded their plans.

Look at today!, they imagine all kinds of things from time travel to reaching the stars at warp 16 and other imaginings like freezing our bodies to wake up in 200 years time. I dare say we are just about where God is coming down to destroy these concepts very, very soon.

Dave.

Dave - very good points. I also consider the cloning situation and wonder if that could ever happen with humans. I have a hard time believing that God would allow such.

David Down Under said...

Scott, I'm with you. Cloning would be a nightmare, messing with genetics like they're makIng porridge.

They might be able to make a body but they can't make the sprit of the person. I'm guessing it would just be a lifeless body.

Dave

Anonymous said...

No not a lifeless body as since the fall every person born has a dead human spirit. Thats what being 'born again' is all about, receiving a new spirit and able to communicate with God. The unsaved cant do that as they have no human spirit. Body and soul but no living spirit. Thats all clones are. The 'living dead' like Dolly the sheep.
