BREAKING: Has The Tipping Point Arrived? U.S. Troops On Syrian Border

We may have reached the first tipping point in the Middle East. To repeat a theme that we have been following, Syrian leader Assad has promised to attack Israel if any 'outside intervention' takes place in Syria's internal conflict, and such intervention appears imminent. A number of sites are reporting on this. We need to follow this story very closely (thanks to James for these links):

Are U.S. Troops Deploying On The Jordan-Syrian Border?

This intro/updates are very interesting and leads to a lot of questions:

Report: Foreign Troops Begin to Spread Near the Villages of Al-Mafraq

Update 1: Today at 12:00 P.M. we contacted DOD Press Office via two voicemail messages and one e-mail asking for comment(s) on this story. As of 6:00 P.M. EST we have not heard back.

Update 2: Another journalist with a major mainstream media publication was told by his editors that there would be no coverage or follow up on these developments.

No coverage? Has the U.S. requested a news blackout?

Good luck with that - eye witnesses and the internet make for good coverage of any story in 2012.

According to first-hand accounts and reports provided to Boiling Frogs Post by several sources in Jordan, during the last few hours foreign military groups, estimated at hundreds of individuals, began to spread near the villages of the north-Jordan city of “Al-Mafraq”, which is adjacent to the Jordanian and Syrian border.

And according to Iraqi sources:

“Some of the US forces that left the Ain al-Assad Air base in Iraq last Thursday, did not come back to the USA or its base in Germany, but were transferred to Jordan during the evening hours.”

“At least one US aircraft carrying military personnel landed in the Prince Hassan Air base located about 100 km to the east of the city of Al-Mafraq.”

And this last tidbit is interesting as well:

We contacted our expert sources on US media and intelligence-military and were told that the US media has been told not to report on this latest development until Tuesday, December 13. Boiling Frogs Post is the first news website to report on these latest developments.

Debka has more detail on this evolving situation:

U.S. Units Exiting Iraq Deployed In Jordan To Forestall Syrian Attack

As the US completes its final withdrawal from Iraq, American special forces troops have been diverted to positions in Jordan opposite a Syrian tank concentration building up across the kingdom's northern border, DEBKAfile's military and intelligence sources report.

As of last Thursday, as of last Thursday Dec. 8, military convoys, air transports and helicopters have been lifting US troops across the border from Iraq.

They have been deployed in position to ward off a possible Syrian invasion in the light of President Bashar Assad's warning that he would set the entire Middle East on fire if the pressure on his regime to step down persisted.

Syria's other neighbors have taken precautions against this contingency but this is the first time US boots have hit the ground directly opposite Assad's army.

US troops were sighted Monday, Dec. 12, building surveillance towers and army posts in the Jordanian villages of Albaej, Zubaydiah and al-Nahdah al-Houshah as well as near the Sarham dam of the Yarmoukh River which runs down the international border between Syria and Jordan.

Saturday, Dec. 12, Jordanian surveillance units confirmed that Syrian armored units were gathering opposite the Jordanian town of Bura Al Hariri.

HOT, HOT Report: U.S. Troops deploying On Jordan-Syrian Border

U.S. Troops Deploying On Jordan-Syria Border

Nizar Nayouf who interviewed an employee in the London-based
office of Royal Jordanian Airlines:

At least one US aircraft carrying military personnel landed in the

Prince Hassan Air base located about 100 km to the east of the city of

Al-Mafraq.

Earlier last week, Jordanian news websites disclosed that Western

officials have requested the King to allow establishing an electronic spy

station in the north of Jordan (near the Syrian border) in order to access

the Syrian army and contact Syrian high-rank officers for convincing them

to make a military coup or (at least) rebel against the regime.

Further news should be coming out later today so stay tuned.

Of course, Assad could have been bluffing regarding his intention to attack Israel - only time will tell. Regardless, this development marks a huge escalation in the Middle East.

It appears that Mr Soros/Obama doctrine of "Responsibility to Protect" may be in effect here, as we have suspected.

We should be watching for escalation and any comments from Assad, both of which should be soon.

Well, if this is true the ebb and flow certainly seems on the verge of turning into a torrent.

If Assad was bluffing, it would seem his hand has been called and the ante upped a wee bit. Guess its gut-check time all around.

It is hugely disturbing that Obama seems to play the dove in public yet in private there is a blood thirst toward revolt and chaos.

Now, to find out that he who threatens publicly to veto the language that makes the rounding up and incarceration of Americans without due process of law is the one who forced a language change that allows this.....my, my, my.....ain't we got suspense and fun.

The boy are up to a hidden agenda and it does not involve Wednesday night kool-aid.

Hello Scott
Sorry if this is old news. I did see some news about Syria at the weekend. It may have been on Sky? Found this instead.

"More than 5,000 people are now believed to have been killed in the Syrian government's crackdown on protests, the United Nations human rights chief has told the UN Security Council..."

Hello Scott

Wondering if this explain the US troop movements?

“France’s UN envoy said Monday that the UN Security Council is “morally responsible” for killings in Syria by failing to condemn the government crackdown on protests.
But in a sign of growing divisions within the 15-member council over Syria, Russia’s ambassador accused western nations of seeking “regime change” in the Middle East nation and discouraging a political settlement.
French envoy Gerard Araud condemned what he called the “scandal” of the council’s silence after UN rights chief Navi Pillay said that more than 5,000 people have now been killed in the crackdown….

…Britain, France, Germany, Portugal and the United States are waiting for the result of Arab League meetings on Syria in coming days to decide their next move at the Security Council.
Russia’s UN ambassador Vitaly Churkin said the whole council was “greatly troubled by the tragic developments in Syria in the past few months” but he hit out at the West’s motives in calling for action.
Churkin said Russia has urged negotiations but since the August statement, events had seen the western nations “switch gears and turn into regime change mode, discouraging dialogue, discouraging dialogue within Syria, discouraging dialogue between the Arab League and Syria.
“This is very dangerous,” Churkin told reporters…”

Okay tell me if this sounds paranoid . But we're sitting on the edge of a European Meltdown . Our Feds just bailed them out to once again save the bankers . According to uswatchdog.com (A non-conspirital website ran by a former investigative report for CBS Greg Hunter) They are still massively underfunded to the tune of 20 trillion (Plus Evil George Soros is predicting no way out of the mess)and a collapse is near (Which would cause a worldwide recession/depression) ...We all know the situtation in Iran can easily lead to a World War , China is gearing up their navy , Russia has ships in Syrian Ports , Iran has a Messianic madman about to get nuclear weapons And America convienently just gets out of Iraq only to repo our troops in Oman and the U.A.E ....Nasa is calling for the worst Solar storms ever in 2012/2013 (NASA not some conspiracy website) ....Does anyone think there is a coorelation between this and the fact that we just had the first nationwide Emergency broadcast last month and now S1867 has been passed 93-7 ? Theres so much more but i'm trying not to write a book ? Am i crazy ?

Nice recap Nathan...No you are not crazy but the world apparently has gone nuts. :(

How much longer Lord? I don't want that to sound like I am impatient but it just doesn't seem like the ballon can take much more air before it explodes.

Maranatha!

Hi Nathan, I echo WV...good recap, but its only the highlights and tip of the ice burg...as you said.

Crazy, isn't it. Me Wiff-n-I sit around the table sometimes and just shake our head at the insanity of it. I mean, we know what the Bible says...and we believe it....but the speed with which things have moved and the number of fronts have left us dazed. And we're long, long time prophecy watchers.

You can pick a subject...any one of many...and your head spins at the speed with which things develop. Add just a few together and its staggering. Add them all, its defies our wee comprehension.

And each and every one is a biblical prophecy...right down to the specific countries involved where the bible is regional.

One can do naught but drop to your knees in awe and wonder....and say "soon, please Lord, soon", we wanna go home.

I know what you're saying Caver ,lately i can't even keep up with it all ....Its just amazing . Over the course of this year i've been reading headlines and will be like "Oh , Europe is collapsing thats how the 10 nations will form , Oh theres the 13th deadly Earthquake of the year in a various place , Oh Russia is forming an alliance with Persia , Oh, theres the tsunami and sea roaring , Oh, theres those signs in the moon and sun and stars , Oh , Israel just found the promised treasure of the sea "oil" , Oh ,Nations are against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms , Oh, yup theres that distress of nations Jesus promised , Oh etc etc etc , I could go on and on . I'm so thankful there are other people out there that get whats going on ...And i'm with ya , come back Jesus as quickly as you can ...
